Yangdong Market (양동시장), Gwangju

7:13:00 AM

I went there on 23 March on a sunny saturday morning. Traditional market in korea looks similar to Yangdong Market. Many ajuma (aunty) and ajusi (uncle) will come to markets early morning to buy food! There are many markets in Korea, but one of the most popular one in seoul is Gwangjang Market (광장시장). It has abundant of food and stalls there. If you are in seoul and wanted to go to a korean traditional market, you can go there. For more information about Gwangjang Market, click here.

This is basically the view of the market. This is how it looks like.

Mr Korean Uncle is cutting radish to sell. The radish here is big!!

And just like other markets, there were many fruits stalls there.

And many seafood stalls too..

And this is something different in Malaysia. You could easily find people selling Ginseng here too. I've heard that korea is famous for ginseng and it's cheap here.

 Multigrains..

yup, and this is a very special korean yellow melon found here. It is quite small, maybe a little bit bigger than an orange. But this fruit is so expensive!! Around RM30 for 4(small) to 5(big) melons. I wanted to buy some. Nah, but it is really too expensive. I end up buying lots of strawberries =)
