I was reading my blog just now and found that it's a little messy with the blog post I did in the last few months. Then I decided to arrange it a little bit so that it's easier to read by having only one event on each blog post.

This flower festival is a spring flower festival which happens in Gwangju every year. This year (2013) it's located in KimDaeJung Convention Center (김대중컨벤션센터) in Gwangju. So, I went there with my buddy on the 5th of April 2013.

This flower festival is in indoor. So, we got our tickets and ready to go into the flower festival.

At the moment we walk into the hall, a strong aroma of flowers greeted us. Although it smells great, but it makes us sneeze a little.

I love this picture so much. It is so beautifully decorated. I wonder how many flowers they use for this exhibition?

잠깐만! (wait!)

O.O guess who we spotted??? 이광수 (李光洙) from running man.. hahahahaha..

such a nice place to rest =)

I love roses so much.. there are so pretty!! especially white roses <3

This rose is a combination of a little bit pink and white.. Ohww, it's so beautiful =)

Is this lily (百合花)?  It looks like one of it.. but they are no descriptions about the flowers..

I seriously don't know what kind of flower is this.. It looks abit like the sansuyu flower that I mentioned before, but obviously it's not sansuyu flower. (no description available)

Another 2 "unknown flower". Similar to the previous one, they just exhibit the flowers, with no descriptions too.

Guess who? It little Pororo, the cute korean cartoon character =)

A beautiful place for us to take a rest =)

My mom's favorite flower - Tulip!! This tulip is so nice.. This tulip is from Shin-an (신안), one of a place in south Korea, not very far from Gwangju..

这画面很诗意 =)
Though I don't understand the whole passage, but I know it says that these tulips were taken from Shin-an (신안).

A not-so-nice exhibition..

This thingy is like so NOT related to flower festival. Duh, they just junk everything into this exhibition, make me feels like it's not entirely FLOWER FESTIVAL..

Me and my buddy =) She is such a cute girl!! So caring and helpful..
The second picture that we are together..

Actually, I think there is nothing much in this flower festival. It kinda disappoint me a little. It's a little bit out of my expectation. I expect a little higher than this. Anyway, it still have lots of beautiful flowers that I have not yet seen in Gwangju (like lily and tulip).

Here are some random spams of Sakura, the flower that I love the most!!! A couple of weeks ago, some places in my campus are full of Sakura. Wow, it's really really so beautiful!! I didn't take many pictures because it's still very cold when sakuras are blooming!

This is a sakura tree..

Sakura trees are in FULL bloom..

Im sorry, my hair was so messy that day.. It's so cold that day when I walk around my campus.. I was frezzing that day. So regret I didn't more photos of it.. I should go to the nearby park for more Sakura trees... Aiiyaaa...

Btw, a couple of days ago, i saw something special near my campus - a pink + white sakura flowers..

Can you see? The flowers are both pink AND White.. sakura is usually White in korea. But this special one have pink and white in the same flower! How special!

Sansuyu is a type of small yellow spring flowers in Korea. Once a year, there is a big Sansuyu Flower festival in Gurye, Korea. However, the festival only lasted for 3 days. I went there on the 31st of March. It's about two hours bus (include interchange) from Gwangju to Gurye.

This is Sansuyu flower.. It's really very small.. the whole sangwi village is full of sansuyu flowers.

We are at the entrance of the flower festival.

I love this place.. this whole place is full of sansuyu flowers =)

walking to the flower festival.

In between, there are little games to cheer the tourist.

This is Sansuyu flower tea.  It cost about 1000won (RM 3) in just a small paper cup.  My friend tried it but I didn't. It tastes like chinese herbal tea which I don't like..

 and my beautiful wings.. hehe..

After that, we went to a nearby park called Love Park (사랑공원).

Many single boys and girls come here to make a wish, hoping that cupids can pay more attention to them =)

The words: Sansuyu Flower, Love Park

This place is near the entrance of the Love Park. But basically there is nothing much there. People just go there because it's near to the flower festival.

These were taken inside the Love Park!

The place is beautifully decorated for tourist. There were many people that day, most of them are Koreans.

A close up for the flower.. It's abit out of focus coz my camera cannot focus on so many part.. But, basically it looks something like this. This is Sansuyu Flower Festival.

Hi again,

It's time for me to update my bloggie again. In this post I will write about some awesome places that I have visited during this 2 weeks.

Last week, in a beautiful saturday, I went to some nearby museums to have a look. The first museum we went was

1) Gwangju Museum of Art.

Actually, it was not as good as I expected as there were only a few photos and drawn pictures. However, only one or 2 pictures in 3D really caught my attention.
well, actually we are not allowed to take pictures in the museum, but I took this secretly because I think this is one of the nicest photos taken.. It's called "Song of Autumn".. There was another 3D photo but  I was unable to capture it coz there was a guard looking at me.. anyway, luckily the entrance free is only RM1.50, coz it wasn't worth to pay more..

Information about Gwangju Museum of Art
Entrance Fee: 500won (appx RM1.50)
Directions:
[Bus]
Take Bus Songjeong 29, Munheung 48, Sangmu 63, Yongjeon 84, Yongjeon 85, or Cheomdan 95.
Get off at the Culture & Arts Center rear gate (문화 예술관 후문).
Walk 220m towards Unamje Lake and turn right onto Bangmulgwan-ro.
Walk straight (80m) until you see the Museum of Art.

2) Folk Museum

Folk museum is just beside Gwangju Museum of Art. However, it is much more better than the Art Museum. Folk museum displays many historical things that were used in the olden days in Korea. It includes all items such as costumes, food, utensils, cultures, houses, marriage and even their believes. We spent a few hours there because the tour guide uncle is very patient in explaining everything there. He is a man in his late 50's and could speak a little bit of english. Although he have some difficulty in explaining the whole thing in english, but he really tried hard to explain every single item there so that we can understand until we were tired and hungry. He is so patient and we were so grateful to him. By the way, it's also RM1.50 for the entrance fee. It's so cheap and worth it!

The outlook of Gwangju Folk Musuem..

Yes, this is the very patient and helpful uncle that I mentioned just now.
